We are currently hiring a Document Controller to join our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team. Under the direction of the Project Director/Lead and functionally reporting to the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Director, the Document Controller will establish, plan, control, and direct the full scope of document/records management program activities for the project.


This position can be based in our Westborough, MA headquarters or Remote.


Responsibilities included but not limited to:



  • Develops and maintains procedures and standards for maintaining documents and revision history of documents, including document development, approval, distribution, and amendment.

  • Evaluate, select and roll out an Electronic Document Management System through Ascend Elements’ (AE) Projects.

  • Maintain the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) to register, control, distribute, transmit, file, and archive project records for a team in multiple locations across multiple countries.

  • Plan the scope of document/records management work, establish priorities, and train personnel to perform their assigned duties for project.

  • Communicate effectively with project team members, client, and field personnel to ensure quality, schedule and budget are met as defined.

  • Support quality assurance audits, internal technical reviews, and external audits.

  • Manage project access to the EDMS by creating accounts and inviting users, perform associated tasks with EDMS administration, and train others in these tasks.

  • Ensure supplier and AE’s documentation is processed within established schedule standards.

  • Prepare routine documents using standard word processing, spreadsheets, or other office software as needed to support work activities.

  • Ensure training and training records for project administrative personnel are current.

  • Compile information, analyze and prepare reports, and establish metrics for document/records management and administrative activities.


Qualifications and Other Skills:



  • Must have a minimum of 5 years project-based experience performing document/records management with a full understanding on the configuration of the EDMS, work processes, and coordination of project workflow with other entities.

  • Must have advanced proficiency using standard office automation tools, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word. (A proficiency test may be required).

  • Advanced analytical ability to build and maintain databases and presentations for project and functional management.

  • Have strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Have ability to work flexibly and collaboratively across all levels of the organization.

  • Must be flexible and able to accept and quickly adapt to changes in work focus.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Inventory Control Coordinator at our site in Hopkinsville, KY. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing the receiving, inspection, and inventory control of materials used in our chemical processing operations.


Duties/Responsibilities:



  • Materials Receiving: Receive incoming materials, accurately verify quantities against purchase orders, and inspect for any damages or discrepancies. Work closely with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure timely and efficient receipt of materials.

  • Inventory Control: Maintain accurate inventory records using electronic systems or manual logs. Monitor inventory levels, track usage, and identify reorder points to prevent stockouts or excess inventory. Position Overview


The Instrument & Controls (I&C) Technician will be responsible for providing repair, calibration, and emergency maintenance services to production, utility operations, and infrastructure systems as necessary to provide for safe operations, regulatory compliance, and equipment availability related to instrument, controls, and low/mid voltage equipment systems plant wide.


Job Responsibilities



  • Incorporate safe behavior into all activities and consistently comply with all established safety and health policies and procedures including Lock, Tag, Try and Test Before Touch.

  • Perform maintenance of production units, utility, and infrastructure systems.

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate instrument and control systems. Example assets include instrumentation and controls for compressor systems, shredders, bagging stations, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, piping flow control, tank level control, and the Distributed Control System (DCS).

  • Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance tasks upon 480V 3-Phase switch gear.

  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance on production unit, utility, and infrastructure equipment. Example activities include calibrating level/temperature/flow/pressure transmitters, installing control valves, performing control loop checks, performing interlock test procedures, wiring motor junction boxes, terminating electrically driven equipment at switch gear, pulling/installing 480V buckets, wiring actuators/sensors, performing switchgear IR scans, performing GFCI checks, replacing lighting and indicators, megging motor leads, etc.

  • Use Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) effectively to document and accomplish required maintenance in an efficient and organized manner.

  • Optimize plant preventive maintenance program to meet OEM recommendations, regulatory requirements, and corporate maintenance philosophy.

  • Provide maintenance procedure and training development assistance for new equipment.

  • Provide start-up support to production operations.

  • Perform On-the-Job Training with new members of the team.

  • Cooperate with groups and individuals within the Engineering & Maintenance department, Operations, contractors, and other service units.

  • Act as liaison between suppliers/manufacturers and manufacturing partners for problems with electrical equipment.

We’re hiring a Wastewater Treatment Process Engineer to join our team in Hopkinsville, KY! In this role you will provide technical expertise and day-to-day engineering support to the wastewater systems supporting the manufacturing facility. This will include interaction with the operations, warehouse, and maintenance employees, design, and modification of existing and new facilities, gathering and analyzing data, troubleshoot problems, identify root cause(s), present conceptual solutions, detailed engineering, equipment sizing, feasibility studies, recommend and implement process improvements. This individual will be part of the commissioning of new equipment and managing production trials. They will be focused on benchmarking and improving performance against plant metrics and implementing robust systems to sustain improvements. They must lead the effort to achieve superior Health, Safety and Environmental performance, especially in the areas of process safety (PSM, RMP, PHMP etc), procedure writing and training of plant employees.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Provides technical and leadership for the Wastewater Treatment system.  Includes assessment of current Equipment capabilities, HSE issues, and capital requirements.

  • Analyzes performance statistical control charts. Works toward establishing in-control processes. Identifies areas of variation (raw materials, process, or quality analysis), implements measures to reduce variation, and tracks effectiveness of reduction measures.

  • Use heat and material balances, fluid flow/hydraulic principles to troubleshoot process problems and design new equipment.

  • Analyzes batch cycle times. Identifies and implements process optimization improvements to establish consistent cycle times and reduce overall cycle times.

  • Reports cycle time, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and other key metrics for key equipment and key product lines.

  • Investigates off-grade or abnormal batches. Identifies root cause, reports findings, and implements corrective actions.

  • Manages small capital projects associated with unit. Responsible for determining justification, scope definition, safety reviews, ‘ punch-list ‘ items, coordination of implementation with production schedule, startup, chemical commissioning, and performance report on agreed deliverables.

  • Prepares flow diagrams, P&ID’ s, and equipment and control specifications.

  • Utilize management of change for applicable situations.

  • Trains production operators and laboratory technicians on unit operations, chemistries, and batch recipe or DCS changes/enhancements in regard to each product line.

  • Responsible for day-to-day troubleshooting associated with the wastewater system. 

  • Utilizes and works within the ISO 9001 standard framework/system.

  • Influence people’s opinions, attitudes, and judgments and demonstrate the ability to compromise opinion to develop the best solution for the issue.

  • Up to 10% travel on average, as high as 50% during plant commissioning phases.


Education and Other Requirements:



  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred, others considered.

  • 7-10 years of process engineering experience with focus on wastewater, pretreatment, metals extraction, pH adjustments, and scrubbers. 

  • Knowledge of and hands on experience using APQP tools including FMEA, SPC, and design and process validation as well as Lean and 6 Sigma tools.

  • Experienced in liquid/solid separations such as precipitation, filtering, drying. Supplier identification and assessment, equipment build tracking, factory and site acceptance testing, installation, commissioning, and ramping to metrics.

  • Experience in running wastewater systems. 

  • Experience, judgement, and technical knowledge to drive data-based decisions.

  • Knowledge and experience in continuous liquid process and batch reactions in a series of reaction vessels.

  • Skilled user of MS office tools including Word, EXCEL, Outlook, Project.

  • Written and verbal fluency in English.

Requirements:

We are currently hiring an SAP Business Analyst focused on Supply Chain and Extended Warehouse Management processes! In this role you will be responsible for working directly with business owners to develop an understanding of current requirements and future business needs for managing their function areas. This includes eliciting, analyzing, and evaluating current business practices, workflows and developing strategies to identify technology solutions needed to streamline and optimize business performance that positively impacts business ROI. The Business Analyst will act as the critical bridge between business leaders and users – and implement and support the systems that provide the capabilities that will support lean and efficient operations and provide leadership with the visibility to effectively manage and make proper business decisions.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Implements capabilities to manage warehouse and materials management business processes, including establishment & management of existing and new facilities, establishment and management of warehouse structure, master data, receipts of purchased and transferred materials, resource management, inbound processing, outbound processing, warehouse tasks, use of handling units, quality management integration, delivery and shipments to customers and transfers to other facilities, and physical inventory – all within a mixed mode, batch managed manufacturing context (Discrete & Process).

  • Collaborates with Information Technology and Operational Technology groups in selecting, implementing, and supporting supply chain related hardware such as scanners, barcode label printers, document printers required to support the overall materials management design.

  • Implements and supports transportation management solutions to optimize transportation planning, load consolidation and carrier selection – ensuring a seamless flow of goods from warehouse to transportation.

  • Provide reporting and analytics to provide visibility and KPIs around core inventory management, order processing, warehouse task management and resource management to support data-driven decision making.

  • Supports and participates in multiple projects to translate business needs to design, configure, document, and test software application solutions across multiple functional groups, focused primarily on SAP applications.

  • Provides support for implemented solutions including post go live support, training, and full regression testing of solutions in support of upgrades.

  • Understands SAP best practice business processes and uses the knowledge to develop consistent, implementable, and efficient business processes for the user base.

  • Partners with business leadership/owners to Identify, create, and facilitate process improvements and possible opportunities for automation by conducting business and systems analysis and design at a complex level, focusing on quality improvement and data reliability.

  • Work collaboratively with implementation partner functional and technical resources to ensure full understanding of implemented capabilities, trade-offs made, and justification for the choices made in implementation.

  • Document system configuration.

  • Assists in the design, development and deployment of user access and enterprise system security profiles.

  • Facilitate development and delivery of training and training materials.


Education and Other Requirements:



  • Bachelor in MIS or Business in the related business area discipline or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years’ experience as an SAP ERP Business Analyst, Implementation Consultant or similar discipline.

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA, S/4HANA Cloud, Embedded EWM, SAP Transportation Management, SAP Analytics Cloud and the broader SAP portfolio of supply chain-focused applications.

  • Experience in several full lifecycle enterprise implementations.

  • Strong oral and written communication & presentation skills; specifically, with end-users, internal and external technical individuals, and leadership teams.

  • Experience troubleshooting issues, requirements gathering and solution design for enhancement requests, as well as implementing the solution via configuration, etc.


This is a remote opportunity with 25% travel to various production sites. Travel may increase for limited periods during go-live/post-go-live at our plants and warehouses.
