Position Overview


The Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing, predictive, preventive, and emergency maintenance services to production, utility operations and infrastructure systems as necessary to provide for safe operations, regulatory compliance and equipment availability related to mechanical systems plant wide.



Job Responsibilities



  • Maintenance of production units, utility, and infrastructure systems

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild of compressor systems, shredders, bagging stations, and conveyors.

  • Perform predictive, preventive, routine and, emergency maintenance on production unit, utility, and infrastructure systems equipment

  • Provide maintenance and troubleshooting support to production unit, utility, and infrastructure systems equipment

  • Maintain, calibrate, align, troubleshoot, and repair plant mechanical systems

  • Perform routine trouble shooting activities

  • Use Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) effectively to accomplish required maintenance in and efficient and organized manner

  • Optimize plant preventative maintenance program to meet OEM recommendations, regulatory requirements, and corporate maintenance philosophy

  • Incorporate safe behavior into all activities and consistently complies with all established safety and health policies and procedures

  • Provide start-up support to production operations

  • Cooperate with groups and individuals within the Engineering & Maintenance department, Operations, and other service units

  • Perform all tasks and assignments in accordance to company policies and procedures

  • Other tasks and duties as assigned

Job Requirements



  • High School Diploma, Journeymen (or higher level education) in the field of Mechanical engineering and/or industrial maintenance

  • Minimum of 5 years experience preferred, maintaining mechanical systems and applications, preferably in a chemical plant, refinery or large process plant

You will be responsible for maintaining and improving product quality, leading root cause investigations, managing process quality performance, and contributing to the success of new product launches. Key Responsibilities:



  • Monitor daily production quality performance using SPC (Statistical Process Control) and other key quality tools.

  • Lead and participate in Root Cause Investigations (RCI) on non-conforming production results, utilizing 8D and Six Sigma methodology with cross-functional teams.

  • Prepare and present weekly and monthly quality performance reports for internal and external customers.

  • Maintain and update SAP Quality Management views, ensuring accurate quality data.

  • Lead change management initiatives focused on continuous quality improvement.

  • Support new product launches by establishing quality parameters and systems.

  • Participate in internal, vendor, and customer audits, ensuring adherence to ISO 9001 standards.

  • Develop and maintain Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Control Plans, and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documentation.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field with 2-5 years of experience in quality within a manufacturing environment (chemical or automotive industry experience preferred).

  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.

  • Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC), root cause analysis methodologies, and continuous improvement tools (Six Sigma, 8D, etc.).

  • Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SAP.

  • ASQ certifications (e.g., CQE, CQA) are highly desirable.

Production Technician I – BD

Production Technician I is responsible for operating the standard procedures for battery discharge and disassembly of lithium-ion battery cells, modules, and packs. Additional responsibilities include conducting quality checks, engaging in basic troubleshooting and equipment maintenance throughout the production process, and collecting qualifying products and packages for shipment.


Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and all local, state, and federal regulations regarding safety, health, and the environment.

  • Communicate with Shift Leader regarding safety, production, quality, or any other operational issues. Actively participates in pre-shift meetings to assist in the development of individual work plans.

  • Perform manufacturing tasks related to the recycling of batteries.

  • Perform mechanical discharge and disassembly of battery cells, modules and packs related to the recycling of batteries.

  • Monitor processes and perform continuous visual quality checks to ensure standards are met.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workplace.

  • Perform cleaning and routine preventative maintenance on heavy machinery.

  • Wear the prescribed personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Experienced using basic hand and power tools.

  • Operate material handling equipment, such as forklift, drum dollies, hoists and experience using basic hand and power tools.

  • Complete and accurately record data such as process, equipment, downtime occurrences, raw material lot numbers, process and reaction conditions, and process yields in accordance with good documentation practices.

  • Ensure equipment and work area is cleaned after use and the equipment is maintained per the preventive maintenance schedule.

  • Assist with maintaining adequate supplies to ensure team has necessary supplies available to complete projects.

  • Weigh, measure, and check raw materials/product to ensure batches manufactured contain proper ingredients, quantities and that accurate inventory is maintained.

We’re currently hiring an Associate Chemical Process Engineer to sit on-site at our manufacturing facility located in Covington, GA. The Associate Chemical Process Engineer oversees manufacturing processes based on design requirements. The candidate will develop and maintain detailed work instructions for safe operation, provide suggestions to improve productivity, compile and analyze processing data, investigate manufacturing problems and implement corrective actions, support proposal and development activities and provide day to day support to manufacturing personnel. We are considering candidates at various experience levels, from new graduates to those with more experience. The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering, is highly disciplined, and works well in a rapidly changing environment.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Learn the process and participate in the commissioning to take over the line from the project team.

  • Providing engineering support, troubleshooting of multiple chemical manufacturing processes, and providing process owner-level support for assigned processes.

We are hiring a Chemical Plant Manager who will be responsible for managing all production activities and direction of the facility to achieve production, safety, and staff goals.




Job Responsibilities:



  • Provide leadership across the precursor of cathode active materials (pCAM) chemical plant to ensure continuous improvement in safety, quality, production, services, and costs.

  • Manage specialty chemical manufacturing, and quality teams to efficiently use materials and machinery.

  • Lead this operating unit for effective production management including daily weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual management methods.

  • Coach, direct and hold accountable department managers and supervisors in effectively managing each respective department.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, federal laws, company policies and procedures.

Education:

Production Operator Ill is responsible for operating the lithium-ion battery material manufacturing equipment. Operate process water plant from PLC control units to determine if all pumps and motors are working. Monitor instrument values and perform calibration or basic preventive maintenance as needed. Verify treatment process performance by reading flow meters, pressure gauge, and quality analyzer. Keep neat and accurate records of operating checklists, test results, and chemical usage.



  • Operate and maintain a Reverse Osmosis (RO) system, chemical reactors/tanks, pumps, and press filters.

  • Complete process equipment inspection and troubleshooting operational malfunctions.

  • Maintain process record such as flow, pressure, temperature, and quality data.

  • Coordinate repair and small improvement projects as required.

  • Assist in process recycling waters samples collection and testing when required.

  • Participate in safety, operation procedure, and QA audits and document review.

  • Recommending corrective actions and ensuring measures have been implemented.

  • Assist other departments concerning production and quality matters.

Job Overview


The Lab Technician of the Covington Plant reports to the Quality Manager. In this position, the Employee shall be responsible for both the final quality checks of finished goods and for promoting continuous improvement of the plant’s production processes.


Pitman Schedule: 12HR Shifts – no rotating


Primary duties



  • Observe all company, state and federal safety and environmental regulations

  • Perform laboratory testing in the analysis of raw material and finished good samples

  • Perform internal audits (i.e., process checks, ISO audits)

  • Run complex chemical reactions

  • Calibrate and maintain analytical equipment per manufacturer’s recommendations

  • Store, mix, and retrieve chemicals for sample preparation and analysis

  • Manage multiple samples and replicates for analysis over a shift

  • Maintain a clean and productive area by ensuring that equipment and work area is cleaned after use, and the equipment is maintained per the preventative maintenance schedule

  • Meet all physical requirement of the positions: walking/standing for extended periods of time

  • Be committed to and support the EHS management process to obtain the ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification as well as participate in system standards and practices in its compliance and commitment to policies, objectives, operational controls, documentation, system guidelines, and others that the organization subscribes to as mandatory.

Qualification and experience



  • Education:

    • Associate Degree in Chemistry, Physics, or Engineering with one or more years of experience in an analytical laboratory environment

    • Technical training and experience with analytical equipment and chemistry principles



  • Experience: 1 or more years of previous laboratory experience, experience with battery materials a plus

  • Understanding of chemical processes (i.e., acid/base reactions, chemical identification)

  • Prior experience with analytical equipment to perform ICP-OES, Karl Fischer Titration, Tapped Density, Particle Size Analysis a strong plus

  • Attention to detail

  • Desire to be a strong team member

  • Ability to lift 50lbs or more

  • Capable of wearing task specific personal protective equipment which may include dust mask, air purifying respirator (i.e., half and/or full faced), safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, and ear protection.

Job Overview:


The Senior Environmental, Heath, and Safety (EHS) Coordinator will be responsible for providing full time support to the operations teams to maintain compliance with applicable EHS company policies and regulatory requirements at our Covington, Georgia facility. The Covington facility is an industrial and chemical heavy manufacturing facility that produces materials for battery manufacturers. This individual will support the current EHS team in the development and coordination of training programs, assist with the management of chemicals/raw materials and wastes, and establish and promote a safe, accident free, and healthy workplace,.


Duties / Responsibilities:


· Lead chemical process and risk management


· Support air, water, wastewater, and hazardous waste permitting and compliance.


· Maintain and monitor environmental, health, and safety systems.


· Support compliance with all federal, state, and local EH&S regulations.


· Provide support regarding routine environmental compliance sampling/reporting requirements (e.g., stormwater, air, wastewater)


· Promote a culture of continuous improvement and safe workplace habits.


· Assist with coordination of Safety Committee Meetings, lead meetings when needed.


· Develop and update safety standards, instructions, codes, and formalize them into company documented practices, as required.


· Maintain facility specific EHS procedures for safe work practices and equipment operation.


· Review risk assessment and environmental impacts and assist departments in establishing improvement plans


· Verify proper safety protocols are in place and being followed.


· Create and facilitate safety and hazard training courses.


· Monitor the workforce for unsafe behaviors and coach employees on correct behaviors.


· Perform Root Cause Analysis on incidents and near misses.


· Facilitate emergency response drills and provide leadership during an emergency


· Be committed to and support the EHS management process to obtain ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications.

Required Skills / Abilities:


· Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of EHS experience in a relevant science and engineering field


· Have extensive chemical manufacturing knowledge and experience


· Process Safety Management (PSM) experience.


· OSHA 511 / OSHA 10 or 30 preferred


· 40-hour HAZWOPER training preferred


· Able to work in a fast-paced environment


· Experience implementing EHS systems


· Experience with process safety, chemical safety, audits and inspections, and risk management


· Ability to function in a fast-paced environment in a growing company


· Excellent verbal and written communication skills


· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail


· Knowledge of EHS, OSHA, RCRA, GA EPD, and shipping laws and regulations


· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software


· Ability to speak and write English
